Beware Betty’s Bog

That’s what the sign says.

Betty’s Bog in Oro-Medonte Township.
I have no idea who Betty is.

Look into Betty’s Bog

Green Slime Everywhere

More slime in the bog

Some parts of the bog have less slime

Some parts of the bog have lots of the green slime

Bog Frog. Watch out buddy, the herons are looking for you.

You know it’s a bit wet when you see these

Oro-Medonte

Cruising around my township today, I stopped to see some things.

A butterfly

Hey !
I mean Hay !

First Black Settlement Church

A Plaque about the Church

Plaque About the Settlers

Line 3 North Fire
I’ll never be a photojournalist. Someone’s house burned to the ground just up from the church, and I didn’t have the heart to go take photos.
You can see the Oro-Medonte Basement Savers did their best.

This big old barn is, well, a big old barn.

You can’t read what we are supposed to protect.

Despite the hot days and no rain, there are still some bogs around.

Although not a new photo, this is in my backyard and always makes me happy.

Blue & Yellow

An Indigo Bunting hangs out with a Goldfinch in my backyard.

Hemingway Flower

A flower in a small pond.
This is at the home of Ernest Hemingway, in Key West, Florida, USA.
Ernie and I are old drinking buddies.

Not really on the buddies part.

Two Green Herons

Two of four young green herons in my backyard.

Green Heron Lunch Time

Right in my own backyard, a young green heron plucks a frog out of my pond for lunch.

One big gulp and it was gone.

Rose Breasted Grosbeak

A rose-breasted grosbeak just landed in front of me.

Bald Eagle

My pet bald eagle.

Not really
